DPR Leaders In Student Assessment: Sorry For Our Mistakes As People's Representatives

JAKARTA - The DPR leadership received a number of student representatives from 16 student organizations at the DPR/MPR building.

The House of Representatives invites students to have a dialogue and accept the aspirations expressed regarding the demonstration which will be held on August 25-31, 2025.

The student representatives were received by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal and Saan Mustopa at the Nusantara building, Wednesday, September 3. Student representatives who attended were from GMNI, GMKI, KAMMI, HMI, BEM SI Kerakyatan, BEM SI Rakyat Bangkit, BEM Nusantara, BEM PTNU Se-Nusantara, PTKIN Fever throughout Indonesia, BEM PTMA Zone III, GMH, BEM UPNVJ, BEM UI, Himapolindo, Trisakti University Student Presidential, and HMI DIPO.

In front of the students, Dasco apologized for the mistakes and shortcomings of the members of the council who served as representatives of the people.

"As the leader, we apologize for our mistakes and shortcomings as representatives of the people in carrying out their duties and functions to represent the aspirations of the people who have been our responsibility," said Dasco.

As the leader of the DPR, Dasco ensured that his party would immediately conduct a thorough evaluation of the performance of members of the DPR RI to listen more to the people and understand the socio-economic conditions in society.

"Of course this apology is not enough without a thorough evaluation and improvement and will be done in the shortest possible time," said Dasco.
