Less Administrative Security Factors, Jonathan Frizzy's Trial Postponed One Week

JAKARTA - Jonathan Frizzy's trial, aka the case of vape containing hard drugs, had to be postponed by the Tangerang District Court for up to one week or to be precise on September 10.

Initially, Ijonk's trial was scheduled for testimony from each defendant and was scheduled to start at 10.00 WIB based on information on the Case Investigation Information System (SIPP) of the Tangerang District Court.

However, until around 15.00 WIB the trial did not begin, until finally the presiding judge decided to postpone the trial at the request of the Public Prosecutor (JPU).

"Legal advisors, yes, today the Public Prosecutor cannot present the defendant. So we will postpone the trial later all of them to provide testimony as witnesses between them on Wednesday, September 10, 2025," said the presiding judge during the trial, Wednesday, September 3.

For the next trial, the Public Prosecutor was asked by the Panel of Judges to present all the defendants in the trial, including Jonathan Frizzy.

"Ordered the Public Prosecutor to present the defendant offline later," continued the presiding judge.

After the trial, Jonathan Frizzy's attorney, Lamgok Heryanto Silalahi, explained that the postponement of the trial was due to security factors that some areas were considered less conducive due to demonstrations some time ago.

"Yes, that's the only consideration, security. Yes. And this also applies, I think, I have also seen leaflets or circulars from other courts that the trial is currently being held online," said Lamgok Heryanto Silalahi.

Lamgok said that in the trial Dhena Devanka's ex-husband would be a witness for other defendants.

"The defendant became a witness, so he testified to each other. Currently there is no term crown witness, as far as we know, yes," explained Lamgok Heryanto Silalahi.

For the next trial, Lamgok ensured that his client would be present in person at the trial together with other defendants.

"You have to attend, you must attend. Next week you will definitely be present. Will attend," he concluded.
