Kitchen Distribution To MBG Providers In Bandar Lampung Stopped In The Aftermath Of A Toxic Case
JAKARTA - Bandar Lampung City Government (Pemkot), Lampung Province hopes that there will be no more poisoned school students due to consuming food from the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program.
"Hopefully it won't happen again in the future, something like this will happen," said Deputy Mayor (Walkot) of Bandar Lampung Deddy Amarullah in Bandar Lampung, Wednesday, confiscated by Antara.
According to him, MBG, which is a central government program, must be kept clean, so that students who consume the food are guaranteed safety.
"Of course we are also concerned as soon as we get the news that students are poisoned. It's called nutritious food, you have to be hygienic," he said.
Head of Basic Education of the Department of Education and Culture (Disdikbud) Bandar Lampung Mulyadi Syukri said his party had temporarily suspended distribution from the kitchen of MBG providers who supplied food to schools in Sukabumi District.
"We temporarily suspended the MBG data at the one who supplied MBG to the school while waiting for the results of the examination from the Center for Drug and Food Supervisory (BBPOM)," he said.
Head of the Bandar Lampung City Health Office, Muhtadi Arsyad Tumenggung, said that the MBG poisoning incident occurred at SDN 2 Sukabumi and SMPN 31 Bandar Lampung and SD in Campang Raya in Sukabumi District.
"In total there are 247 students who experience symptoms of poisoning, 12 of whom have to be treated in hospitals and health centers. Thank God their condition is getting better," he said.
