The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Will Ask For Information On Those Who Are Suspected Of Hiding Immanuel Ebenezer's Car
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the party suspected of hiding three cars from the official residence of the former Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker) had the opportunity to be questioned. The vehicle is needed to investigate allegations of extortion in the management of work safety and health certificates (K3).
"Later, if investigators include asking for information from related parties, of course, the KPK is also open to calling anyone for questioning," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, September 3.
Even so, Budi has yet to explain who is the party suspected of hiding the car after the hand arrest operation (OTT) was held. He only reminded them to hand over two cars whose whereabouts are still unknown.
As for now, one car has been confiscated by KPK investigators. The vehicle is said to have been delivered to the anti-corruption commission office.
"We also continue to appeal to those who know or control from these vehicles and then can immediately deliver them to the KPK," said Budi.
"Because these vehicles are also needed in the process of proving in this investigation and we believe those who know will cooperate with this," he continued.
Meanwhile, Immanuel Ebenezer claimed not to order or try to hide three cars from his official residence when he was caught in a sting operation (OTT). He said the car was moved out of panic.
"No, we're not hiding it. We'll return it. Yes, it's natural, my children are afraid," said Immanuel after undergoing an examination at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, September 2.
Immanuel did not explain anymore about the children in question. He only said he was ready to cooperate with the anti-corruption commission, including the question of two cars whose whereabouts were not yet known by investigators.
"We are very cooperative with investigators. Because we also support what the KPK is doing and I also admit that it is wrong," he said.
"And they respect my gentle attitude in admitting my mistake. So this is regret in my life," continued the former deputy cabinet minister of President Prabowo Subianto.
Previously reported, the KPK named 11 suspects in connection with the alleged extortion of handling work safety and health certificates (K3). This determination began with a hand arrest operation (OTT) that arrested 14 people, including the Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker) Immanuel Ebenezer.
The following is a list of suspects named by the KPK:
1. Irvian Bobby Mahendro as Coordinator for Institutional and Personnel Affairs K3 for 2022-2025;
