Suicide Bomb Shakes Political Party Meeting In Pakistan, 13 Dead, 30 Injured

JAKARTA - The bomb terror occurred near a stadium on the outskirts of Quetta City, Blochistan, Pakistan.

This incident occurred when sympathizers and cadres of the nationalist party had just finished holding a general meeting which was the party's political agenda on Tuesday, September 2 night.

Citing AP, the local police chief, Majeed Qaisirani, said on Wednesday September 3, the explosion left 13 people dead and 30 others injured.

He added that shortly after the incident, the pieces of the body of the suicide bomber were found and then processed for identification.

Waseem Baig, a spokesman for a government hospital, said it had received dozens of injured, some in critical condition.

No party has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

The suicide bombing occurred after the completion of the general meeting of sympathizers and cadres of the nationalist party. The meeting is scheduled to commemorate the anniversary of the death of Sardar Orallah Mengal, a former leader of the nationalist party and former head of the provincial minister.

Senior Usama police officer Ameen added that the leader of the Blochistan National Party, Akhtar Mengal, survived the attack, but several of his supporters were injured.
