Hong Kong Open 2025: Indonesia Sends 13 Representatives
JAKARTA Indonesia will send 13 representatives to the Hong Kong Open 2025 next week, including four women's doubles which have just been reshuffled to participate in this tournament.
The Hong Kong Open with Super 500 BWF levels will take place from 9-14 September 2025 at Hong Kong Coliseum. This tournament provides a total prize of 500 thousand US dollars or equivalent to Rp. 8.2 billion.
BWF officially released the draw on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Women's singles are the only sector absent from this tournament.
From the men's singles sector, the three names that will represent Indonesia are Mohammad Zaki Ubaidillah, Alwi Farhan, and Anthony Sinisuka Ginting. Ubaidillah is the only Indonesian representative who has to start the journey from the qualifying round.

Furthermore, in the men's doubles there is the pair Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, and Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani.
Fajar will be reunited with Muhammad Shohibul Fikri after this tournament. Previously, the Fajar/Fikri duo managed to produce the title of the China Open 2025 last July.
The Fajar/Fikri pair are scheduled to be registered for the China Masters Super 750 which will take place on 16-21 September 2025 and the Korea Open Super 500 on 23-28 September 2025.
The women's doubles sent Lanny Tria Mayasari/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi, Rachellessya Rose/Febi Setianingrum, Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, and Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari.
This is a new composition reshuffled by the Central Board of the Indonesian Badminton Association (PP PBSI) at the beginning of last month.
Prior to that, the formation of these four couples were Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi, Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti/Lanny Tria Mayasari, Rachel Alllessya Rose/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari, and Apriyani Rahayu/Febi Setianingrum.
Apri/Fadia are not new duo. The couple have previously played together since Greysia Polii retired and contributed to the 2021 SEA Games gold medal, which was their debut event.
Then, three other representatives from mixed doubles were Adnan Maulana/Indah Cahya Sari Jamil, Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu, and Amri Syahnawil/Nita Violina Marwah.
