Only 37 Newcastle Separation Words For Alexander Isak's Departure To Liverpool
JAKARTA - Newcastle United only released 37 words following Alexander Isak's transfer to Liverpool which broke the record for the English League after the transfer match.
Isak is known to have trained alone since pre-season and was marginalized from the Newcastle United squad for the past three weeks.
Eddie Howe's reason for expelling Isak from the squad could not be separated from the striker's desire to leave St. James' Park, but the club made it difficult. Not surprisingly, the Swedish National Team player called Newcastle a break in his promise.
However, now the transfer is complete. Isak was confirmed on the last day of the transfer window, Monday, September 1, 2025, that he was officially a Liverpool player.
Although he pocketed a Premier League transfer record of 125 million pounds (around Rp. 2.7 trillion), Isak will not be remembered well at St. James Park.

Therefore, Newcastle United only gave short farewells, which had absolutely no emotional ties, only formality.
"Newcastle United can announce the sale of striker Alexander Isak to Liverpool for a transfer fee that broke the UK record.
"The Swedish international player joined The Magpies from Real Sociedad in 2022 and made 109 appearances in all competitions," reads the statement, which amounts to only 37 words (English version).
It is different from several other clubs who gave sweet farewells even though they are not players as big as Isak alias have no big impact on the club.
For example, Manchester United used 171 words (in English) to say goodbye to their exile, Antony.
The Red Devils even ended the farewell statement with a prayer that Antony had a better future.
"Everyone at the club wants to wish Antony the best for his future," Manchester United wrote ending his farewell statement.
Then Arsenal wrote 190 words (in English) which were also happy for Albert Sambi Lokonga because he could continue his career in Hamburg SV. In fact, Lokonga has not played for Arsenal since the 2022/2023 season
Even Ben Chilwell - who was exiled for more than a year by Enzo Maresca at Chelsea - was given 124 words and maximum thanks by his former club when announcing his transfer to Strasbourg.
Meanwhile, Isak scored 54 goals in 86 Premier League games for Newcastle. He will likely make his debut for Liverpool against Burnley on August 14, 2025, after his international break with Sweden.
