Lebanon Praises The Composition Of Indonesian National Team Players And The Presence Of Kluivers
JAKARTA - Lebanon will have their FIFA Matchday match against the Indonesian national team on September 8, 2025. Ahead of the match, praise was praised for the Garuda Squad which contains European-blooded players and is trained by the Dutch National Team (Timnas) legend, Patrick Kluivert.
The Lebanese Football Federation (LFA) made this statement through its official website. In a statement quoted on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, LFA also announced 23 players who would be brought against Indonesia.
"Coach Miodrag Radulovic will again have the opportunity to test new players and will give them more playing duration."
"This is to see how their actions at the international level against a strong team led by former Dutch national team star Patrick Kluivert and inhabited by professional players at the highest level of major European leagues, such as Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, and Eredivisie," wrote LFA.

The Garuda squad is inhabited by naturalized players who take part in elite European leagues. Call it Jay Idzes (Sassuolo), Emil Audero (Cremonese), Kevin Diks (Burusssia Monchengladbach), Calvin Verdink (ille), Mees Hilgers (Twente), to Miliano Jonathans (Utrecth).
The presence of these players is considered an important part for the Indonesian national team which is building an image at the international level.
For Lebanon, this friendly match is part of preparation for the 2025 Asian Cup Qualification in Saudi Arabia, which will begin in October 2025.
Meanwhile, Indonesia took advantage of this trial match as preparation before appearing at the 2026 World Cup Qualification Fourth Round in October 2025.
Before facing Lebanon, the Garuda squad will first face China Taipei on September 5, 2025. All matches will be held at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya.
