MBGKI Asks President Prabowo To Firmly Uphold Justice To The Transformation Of The Health System
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Professors of Medicine (MBGKI) also highlighted the situation of demonstrations in the last few days in a number of regions in Indonesia. MGBKI is also concerned about the current state conditions and conveys a number of requests to various parties, one of which is to President Prabowo Subianto.
"As a collection of professors in the medical field, MGBKI really feels concerned," said the Chairman of MGBKI, Prof. Dr. Dr. Budi Iman Santoso, SpOG(K), MPH, in an official statement, Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
"And with a moral responsibility for our existence as part of the people and the Indonesian nation, we express this deep concern as well as a moral call," he added.
The MGBKI's request for President Prabowo consists of several things. They conveyed that they support the president to lead the nation, but asked him to remain firm and fair to all levels of society.
MGBKI conveyed full support to President Prabowo Subianto in carrying out the mandate of the nation's leadership. However, we also urge the President to dare to take a firmer stance on policies that have the potential to injure the sense of justice, not side with the small community, and cause public unrest, "as stated in MGBKI's request to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto.
Not only related to socio-economic issues, but MGBKI also asked the president to address problems in the transformation of the Indonesian health system. The President is asked to be fair and wise in overcoming various health system problems.
