Holding Tender, Mataram City Government Plans To Repair 2 Damaged Bridges Due To Floods

NTB - The City Government (Pemkot) of Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province, immediately built two bridges that were heavily damaged by flooding on July 6, 2025 and have now tendered the construction of the two bridges.

Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Mataram City Lale Widiahning in Mataram, Tuesday, said the two bridges were the Bertais Crown Bridge and the Karang Kemong Bridge.

"The two bridges have entered the tender stage with a budget ceiling of IDR 5.4 billion, divided into two, namely IDR 2.3 billion for the Crown Bridge and IDR 3.1 billion for the Karang Kemong Bridge," he said.

It is targeted that in the second week of September 2025, he said, the winner of the tender already exists and physical activities for bridge construction can begin.

With the remaining 2025 Lale budget year, it is optimistic that the two bridges can be completed, because they will use a steel frame for the Karang Kemong Bridge so that the work can be easier and faster.

The Karang Kemong Bridge has a length of 16 meters with a width of three meters built with steel construction, such as the Dasan Agung Bridge which is curved above.

"For the budget for the construction of the Karang Kemong Bridge, it is around Rp. 3.1 billion," he said.

Meanwhile, the Bertais Crown Bridge continues to use conventional bridge construction because the span is shorter, which is 10 meters long with a width of 10 meters with a budget of IDR 2.3 billion.

The repair of the two bridges damaged by the flood is considered a priority, he said, because their condition is heavily damaged and it is impossible to use it.

Meanwhile, the other two bridges, namely in Kebon Duren and Tegal Bridge, can still be crossed so far.

"We are doing the repair of the bridge according to the priority scale," he said.

While alluding to the repair of embankments, oars, and taluds in rivers and drainage damaged by floods, he said, will be carried out after the determination of the 2025 Revised APBD.

"After the determination of the 2025 APBD, we will immediately carry out repairs to the embankment, ovals, and river windows, and drainage," he said.
