Bengkulu DPRD Demo, Police Alert 1,000 Personnel

JAKARTA - The police have alerted 1,000 joint personnel to secure the demonstration which was held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

"We have prepared 1,000 joint personnel, from the Bengkulu Police, then from the Regional Police, then from Brimob, including from the TNI," said Bengkulu Police Chief Kombes Pol Sudarno, in Bengkulu, Tuesday.

Sudarno said the National Police would facilitate students who would convey their aspirations to meet with the leadership and chairman of the Bengkulu Provincial DPRD.

"To all colleagues, especially younger students who will convey their aspirations, convey them politely, with SOPs, later we will facilitate them for meetings with the chairman of the DPRD, along with all their devices," he said.

The leadership of the DPRD and its staff, said Kombes Pol Sudarno, are ready to meet to accept the arrival of students who express their aspirations.

"Hopefully the younger students will also be able to agree, so that they can truly convey their aspirations. We will continue to convey their aspirations and aspiration demands to the DPR RI, or for example if they want to be submitted, they can reach the President later, yes from the DPRD later will facilitate the demands of the younger students so that the demands can reach Jakarta," he said.

Kombes Pol Sudarno said the National Police was ready to oversee, provide the best service so that the city of Bengkulu remained in a positive situation.

"So that development is also going well, the community can make a good living, we hope that together. (Regarding the demonstration time) if it is in accordance with the law at 6 o'clock, so before 6 o'clock, when it is finished, hopefully at 4 o'clock there will be a meeting with the chairman of the DPRD, so that the activity can be completed soon," he said.
