JAKARTA - Manchester City have agreed to a deal to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma from Paris Saint-Germain and allow Ederson Moraes to move to Fenerbahce.

Donnarumma will compete for the main goalkeeper position with 22-year-old James Trafford, who rejoined Manchester City from Burnley in early summer.
Trafford has started in Manchester City's first three Premier League games, but has been criticized for his role in their 0-2 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
Ederson, who played eight seasons with Manchester City, became the key to their success under Pep Guardiola, including the treble season in 2022/2023 and four consecutive Premier League titles (2021-2024).
Donnarumma was released by PSG after being less in demand under coach Luis Enrique. The 26-year-old helped the Ligue 1 team win the Champions League title last season, but his position as the main goalkeeper was replaced by new player Lucas Chevalier this summer.
Meanwhile, Manchester City's first match after the international break was against their neighbor, Manchester United, at Etihad on September 14, 2025.
Both Manchester City and Manchester United are likely to have new main goalkeepers after 23-year-old Senne Lammens joined Ruben Amorim's squad on the last day of the transfer market.
