Amid The Issues Of The DPR's Allowance, Angelina Sondakh Reveals The Bad Tradition Of Parliament

JAKARTA - In the midst of the hot atmosphere of Indonesia which started with the plan to increase allowances for DPR members, former member of the DPR RI, Angelina Sondakh told about the bad traditions of the DPR in her time in office.

According to Angelina, one of the biggest problems in the DPR is permissive culture that is already rooted.

"We are talking about a system that already exists and maybe eventually becomes a culture. So, if for example it becomes a culture, it ends up being permissive and always saying, 'Ah, it's normal,' that's it," said Angelina Sondakh, quoted by VOI from Instagram @rumpi_ttv, Monday, September 1.

He added that idealistic members of the DPR often have to 'loss set' because they are dealing with the system that has been formed.

"Maybe you lost the set of times," he said briefly.

Furthermore, Angelina mentioned how people as owners of sovereignty are often neglected. In official events, people are rarely placed as the first respected party.

"If in official invitations, is it the people who are greeted first? Of course, 'What we respect,' that's how it is. And always those who are mentioned are not the people first. That and it has become like a culture which is finally permissive again. Even though the people's boss is there, yes," said Angelina.

"It should be, eh and this should be it, 'Good afternoon to my people.' But the people are rarely mentioned," he concluded.
