US Rejects Visa Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas To Bepidato At The United Nations Session
JAKARTA - The United States rejected the visa of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas who is scheduled to attend the United Nations General Assembly (UN) in New York.
The Palestinian Presidential Office declared a "heritance" of Washington's decision on Friday last week to cancel the visa.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's office urged the United States to cancel its visa revocation decision.
Mahmoud Abbas has been giving speeches at the General Assembly for years and generally leads the Palestinian delegation.
"We call on the American government to reverse its decision," Abbas spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh told The Associated Press.

Abu Rudeineh warned the move would only increase tensions and escalation.
"We have communicated since yesterday with Arab and foreign countries, especially those directly related to this issue. This effort will continue around the clock," Abu Rudeineh said.
He also urged other countries to pressure the administration of US President Donald Trump to reverse his decision, including the most prominent being countries that have held high-level conferences about reviving the two-state solution.
