DPP Ika Undip Calls On The Public To Maintain Unity To Convey Aspirations Without Anarchism

JAKARTA - The Central Executive Board of the Diponegoro University Alumni Association (DPP IKA Undip) conveyed a moral appeal for the heated political and social dynamics following demonstrations in the country causing casualties.

The chairman of the UNDIP IKA DPP, Ahmad Redi, said that the delivery of public aspirations is part of the democratic country mechanism. However, it should be conveyed in an orderly manner, without violence and anarchic actions.

"DPP IKA UNDIP really respects and encourages the process of conveying public aspirations in any form while upholding public security and order. The democratic process must be addressed in a healthy manner, one of which is by not providing anarchism and all forms of violence accompanied by the destruction of public facilities," said Redi at a press conference, at the IKA UNDIP DPP Office, South Jakarta, Sunday, August 31 evening.

Redi said IKA UNDIP invites all components of the nation, ranging from students, communities, religious leaders, community leaders to scholars, to work hand in hand to maintain a peaceful atmosphere that prioritizes national interests.

IKA UNDIP emphasizes strongly rejecting all forms of violence, anarchism, and vandalism. For the authorities, IKA UNDIP encourages actively to prevent all forms of crime in conveying aspirations that are vulnerable to being infiltrated, causing riots and looting.

UNTUK ITU, IKA UNDIP menyatakan dukungan penuh terhadap langkah strategis dan taktis pemerintah dalam mengendalikan situasi nasional.

According to Redi, security stability is the main requirement so that the big agendas of the country can continue to run and the welfare of the people can be realized.

"IKA UNDIP fully supports the government's strategic steps in controlling a good situation for the sake of the nation, nationalism, and accelerating the recovery of the situation to faster complete various big state agendas," he said.

On that occasion, IKA UNDIP also called on alumni of Diponegoro University (Undip) in all regions to play an active role in helping the recovery process. Redi emphasized that the real contribution from alumni would be very meaningful in maintaining the sustainability of the national strategic agenda.

"DPP IKA UNDIP asks all alumni of Diponegoro University wherever they are to contribute to doing the best in helping to restore the situation as quickly as possible in order to maintain the continuity of national strategic agendas," he said.
