Jakut Police Headquarters Attacked By Mobs: Molotov Bombs And Firecrackers Thrown Into Police Station Courtyards

The North Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters was targeted by an unknown group of mobs on Saturday night, August 30, 2025.

The attack was carried out by throwing firecrackers and Molotov cocktails at the Mapolres yard. Several Molotov cocktails even exploded and caused flames in the police station area, but the fire was extinguished by the officers on guard.

The perpetrator of the attack was an unknown mob. From the amateur camera footage of an officer, there was a sound of officers warning his colleagues by shouting 'awas, shoot, shoot woy'. Meanwhile, Sabhara members who were in the headquarters continued to defend and keep the situation from getting worse.

This incident occurred on Saturday night, August 30, 2025, at around 21.00 WIB. The incident took place at the North Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters, precisely in the office yard which is the center for securing the jurisdiction of North Jakarta.

The motive for the attack was not yet known until this news was published, but this is a series of demo cases that have been going on since Thursday, August 28.

The officers on duty managed to control the situation and extinguish the fire from the Molotov cocktail that had burned the yard. Until now, there have been no reports of casualties or injuries. The Head of Public Relations of the North Jakarta Metro Police, Ipda Jonggi, has not provided an official statement when confirmed via WhatsApp by VOI.
