Masses In Jambi Burn Official Cars, DPRD Office Facilities Damaged
JAMBI - The demonstration in Jambi ended in anarchism by burning a unit of official car belonging to the local government and the Jambi Provincial House of Representatives (DPRD) office facilities damaged.
"The one who was seen being burned by a mob near the Setretariat Dewan (Setwan) parking lot," said Assistant III of the Jambi Provincial Government General Administration, Jangcik Mohza, at the demonstration site, Friday, August 29, as reported by ANTARA.
He did not know for sure the number of vehicles that were damaged.
However, based on observations, there are vehicles that have to be rushed outside the DPRD office area to avoid damage carried out by the protesters.
From observations in the field, there were two vehicles that were successfully transferred by employees, the vehicle was damaged in the windshield and scratched by a stone impact.
In addition, other facilities that were also damaged were in the form of a DPRD building glass and a seat table (mobile) on the first floor of the people's building.
In the courtyard of the DPRD office, the digital advertisement board (Videotron) belonging to the Council Secretariat (Setwan) was also damaged by protesters.

Not only that, the billboard stage in the governor's office yard was also burned during Friday afternoon's demonstration by the civil society alliance and Jambi students.
Demonstrations could only be quelled at 18.30 WIB, after the security forces fired tear gas and sprayed water cannons, to repulse the protesters.
During this demonstration, the police deployed 500 security officers from the Brimob, Polresta and Jambi Police units.
