Tourist Attractions In Palangka Raya Closed During Eid Holidays

JAKARTA - All tourist destinations in Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan Province, are closed for four days of Eid al-Fitr 2021 in an effort to break the chain of COVID-19 spread in the local city.

"In order to suppress the spread of COVID-19 during the homecoming ban period, all tourist destinations are temporarily closed from May 13-16," said Palangka Raya Mayor Fairid Naparin, reported by Antara, Tuesday, May 11.

The decision to close the tourist destination has also been submitted by the mayor through circular number 555.3/390/DPKKO-Par/V/2021 challenging the closure of palangka raya tourist destination.

The closure is based on the circular of the Central COVID-19 Handling Task Force number 12 of 2021 concerning the travel provisions of domestic persons during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Then addendum circular of the Central COVID-19 Handling Task Force number 13 of 2021 concerning the elimination of Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijri homecoming and efforts to control the spread of COVID-19 during Ramadan.

Regulation of the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia number 12 of 2021 concerning transportation control during Eid al-Fitr in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Central Kalimantan Governor Circular Letter number: 443.1/40/Task Force COVID-19 on the special provisions of travel of people entering central Kalimantan.

Mayor of Palangka Raya Regulation number 4 of 2021 concerning restrictions on micro-based community activities in order to accelerate the handling and control of COVID-19 at the village level.

Central Kalimantan Governor's Letter number: 443.1./61/TASK FORCE COVID-19 regarding the travel instructions of people during the COVID-19 pandemic in central Kalimantan.

The youngest regional head in central Kalimantan province was able to carry out all the government's directives and recommendations during the implementation of Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijri.

"Always obey the existing rules and always carry out health protocols such as washing hands, using masks, avoiding crowds and keeping a distance. The strict application of health protocols is still a powerful way to prevent the transmission of the virus," he said.
