A Teenager Was Sentenced For Supporting Taylor Swift's Terror Concert In Vienna
JAKARTA - Taylor Swift has many good records for her Eras Tour, which will take place between March 2023 and December 2024.
But behind that, there were three shows that were canceled in Vienna, Austria in August 2024, after the terror that was thwarted by local security forces.
The latest news is that a 16-year-old boy has been convicted in Germany for his support for the terror.
Under German privacy law, the teenager was convicted of preparing for serious acts of violence and supporting acts of terrorist violence abroad.
Meanwhile, the indictment was filed last June, and the 18-month trial sentence was handed down on Tuesday, August 26 the day after tomorrow.
The trial itself took place behind closed doors because the defendant was still a minor, where he was said to have given a comprehensive confession.
The defendant, at the age of 14, was a Syrian citizen who had supported the ideology of the Islamic State group.

From mid-July to August 2024, he contacted men in Austria via social media who had planned an attack on one of Taylor Swift's concerts for the Eras Tour in Vienna.
The defendant also sent a video containing instructions to assemble the bomb to the man and also arranged contact with an ISIS member.
Previously, Swift commented on the cancellation by saying the terrorists had destroyed the show while expressing their gratitude to the authorities for saving everyone.
Meanwhile, the main suspect was arrested in Ternitz, south of Vienna, after receiving information from the CIA. The second person was also arrested in the Austrian capital around the same time, followed by a third suspect a few days later.
