AFF Women's U-16 Cup 2025: Indonesia's Step To The Final Tackled By Australia With A Score Of 0-3
JAKARTA - The U-16 Indonesian Women's National Team's Business to advance to the final round ran aground. This situation occurred after the Garuda Pertiwi Muda squad was tackled by Australia with a score of 0-3 in the semifinals.

Australia opened the scoring first in the 22nd minute through the execution of Abbie Total Pucket. Pucket fired a hard shot after receiving the ball which then could not be blocked by the Indonesian national team goalkeeper, Alleana Ayu Arumy.
Six minutes later, Pucket re-listed his name on the scoreboard. This time, Pucket fired a long-range shot from the penalty box that brought the game 2-0 up and lasted until halftime.

Continuing in the second half, it was the turn of the U-16 Women's National Team to try to play better. They managed to hold Australia from scoring an additional goal in the early 10 minutes of the second half.
But in the end, the effort was shattered because Australia was able to break into Indonesia's goal again in the 58th minute. Rich Jugovic scored Australia's third goal.
This goal was generated through a long-range left-footed shot. The ball slid into the right corner of the net without being able to beat Alleana and put his team 3-0 up.
Garuda Pertiwi U-16 troops are working hard to catch up with the remaining time, but it is difficult to penetrate Australia's solid defense which continues until the game is over.
This result ensures that Australia qualified for the final against Thailand, which previously successfully defeated Vietnam 3-1. Meanwhile, Indonesia will still face Vietnam in the race for third place in the 2025 AFF Women's U-16 Cup.
