Peugeot 308 Recently Appears More Tempting With New Machine Design And Choice

JAKARTA Stellantis has hit the hatchback market again by presenting a facelift version of Peugeot 308. It is known, for decades, Peugeot has been a key player in the European market for sedans and estate cars in segment C.

This refresher gives a fresher look at the front, a practical interior, as well as an updated engine selection, including hybrid, plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions, and a full E-308 electric variant. The car remains available in two body options: wide estate hatchback and variance, 308 SW.

Launching Carow, Wednesday, August 27, the most striking changes are seen on the front. The new 308 are now adopting a grip with elements of body color that appear to blend, similar to those seen in the 3008 and 5008 SUVs. The Grill is flanked by two dramatic air holes that hide the main part of the headlights.

The front light was also redesigned with three sleek LED DRLs that formed the typical "Cakar Singa" motif Peugeot. This motif continues to be the full line that spans the entire width of the grip, providing a unique appearance that is different from the lightbar that competitors now use a lot, including VW Golf.

As part of the refresh, Peugeot also removes all exterior chrom layers, providing a more modern and timeless look. The final touch is in the form of a new ALLoi rim and a fresher blue color choice to complete the increasingly stunning exterior.

Improvement Of Machine Choices

Meanwhile, interior 308 did not experience much change, retaining a wide 10-inch touch screen and configurable i-Toggles touch button. However, instrument clusters are now coming with new graphics, even with 3D effects on the GT and Premium GT variants. Material selection is also improved, including the use of aluminum and Alcantara.

Under the hood, there are four choices of machines offered. The basic variant comes with a 1.2 liter hybrid engine that produces 145 cellphones. For environmentally friendly options, there is a plug-in hybrid 195 hp with a pure electric range of up to 85 km.

The most interesting thing is the full electric version of E-308. The model is powered by a 156-hp motor and a 58.4 kWh battery, which promises a range of up to 452 km, an increase of 37 km from the previous model. Although the charging speed is still limited to 100 kW, this car remains the ideal choice for those looking to switch to electric mobility.

Surprisingly, Peugeot is also still offering a diesel machine option that is known to be very efficient in fuel consumption.

Unfortunately, until now, Peugeot has not announced an official price and complete specifications for the 308 facelift model. However, it is expected that there will be a slight increase from the current model starting price.
