Oilita Price Exceeds HET In 413 Regions, Highest Capai IDR 50,000 Per Liter
JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported an average national price of IDR 17,268 per liter in the third week of August 2025. This figure exceeds the Highest Retail Price (HET) set at IDR 15,700 per liter.
Referring to BPS data, the price of Oilita, which surpassed HET in the third week of August, is in 413 districts/cities.
Head of BPS Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti said the average price of Oilita was at Rp. 17,268 per liter. He admitted that the figure had decreased slightly compared to last month, but it was still more expensive than the government's provisions.
"The price of Oilita until the third week of August 2025 nationally is on average above the highest retail price. Currently, although in the trend it has decreased by 0.65 percent, the average price of Oilita is IDR 17,268 per liter," he said in an inflation meeting broadcast on the Ministry of Home Affairs' YouTube, quoted Tuesday, August 26.
Winley, his nickname, is several districts/cities whose prices are on HET, including Lamongan, Sukabumi, Kuningan, Banjar, Bandung, Bandung Regency, Subang Regency, Bekasi City, Lomajang, Cianjur, and Tasikmalaya.
"Outside Java, regencies and cities whose average oil prices are above Rp. 15,700 per liter are in the Bintang Mountains, Puncak Jaya, and so on. With an average of 413 districts/cities, the price of Oilita is still above the HET price," he said.
Winley said in total, there are 90 areas on the island of Java with an Oilita price above HET of IDR 15,700 per liter. The highest price is in the Lamongan Regency, East Java, valued at IDR 17,357 per liter.
Then, Sukabumi Regency Rp17,333 per liter; Kuningan Regency Rp17,268 per liter; Banjar City Rp17,167 per liter; Bandung Regency Rp17,143 per liter; Subang Regency Rp17,107 per liter; Bekasi City Rp17,095 per liter; Lumajang Regency Rp17,036 per liter; Cianjur Regency Rp17,000 per liter and Tasikmalaya Regency Rp17,000 per liter.
Meanwhile, there are 323 regencies/cities outside Java with the price of Oilita above HET. Where the Bintang Mountains Regency is the area with the highest Oilita price in Indonesia reaching IDR 50,000 per liter.

"For regencies/cities whose prices for Oilita are already below Rp. 15,700 per liter until the third week of August, such as in Java, in Bantul, Gunung Kidul, Pamekasan, Indramayu, and so on. Outside Java Island, there are Majene, Sidenreng Rappamg, Pare-Pare City, Palopo, Polewali Mandar, "he explained.
