ITSEC Security Summit 2025: Emphasize The Importance Of Cyber Resilience Collaboration

JAKARTA - PT ITSEC Asia Tbk., a leading cybersecurity company in Indonesia, officially opened ITSEC: Cybersecurity Summit 2025, which lasted for three days on August 26, 2025 in Jakarta.

Carrying the theme The Largest Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity Event in Southeast Asia, this conference presents more than 1,000 participants, including policy makers, industry leaders, and global cybersecurity experts to discuss the challenges and threats of national cyber.

ITSEC Asia President Director, Patrick Rudolf Dannacher stressed that cybersecurity is not just a national issue, but also regional interests that are directly related to economic stability and public trust.

"Cybersecurity is not only a national matter, but also a regional one. It supports economic stability and creates public trust," Patrick said at the inauguration of ITSEC: Cybersecurity Summit 2025, Tuesday, August 26.

Because according to him, Southeast Asia is facing increasingly serious cyber threats with an average of 36,000 cyberattacks every day.

The threats mainly target critical infrastructure such as electricity networks, ports, hospitals, financial systems, and telecommunications.

He also reminded about the potential for a quantum computing revolution that is expected to break global encryption by 2027.

Despite the challenges, this situation is considered as well as opening up opportunities for the growth of the cybersecurity industry to 40 times in the next 10 years.

'The attack is increasingly complex, the number continues to increase every day. So, we must prepare together. The quantum computing revolution will destroy all of our encryption by 2027," he said.

Therefore, this Summit is expected to be a forum for cross-sectoral collaboration of the government, the private sector, academics, and the community to share intelligence, the best practices, and build cyber defense strategies for 700 million Southeast Asians.

"For me, this commitment is a declaration of the intention to work together to face problems, not avoid them, and move forward firmly together," said Patrick.
