Bon Jovi Drummer, Tico Torres Denies Rumors Of Retired Music
JAKARTA - Tico Torres, drummer Bon Jovi answered rumors about himself being called a musical pension. The 71-year-old musician emphasized that the issue was not true.
Through a short video on Bon Jovi's social media, Tico immediately conveyed his clarification. For Tico, musicians do not know the word pension.
"Hi everyone. Tico Torres from BON JOVI here. I'm here to straighten out a lot of rumors that I read, people called me, asking, 'Are you retiring from music, from the band?' The answer, no. I don't know how this happened. Musicians don't retire, especially me," Tico said in a video uploaded August 25 on Instagram.
The New York drummer actually feels he is enjoying his current musical phase. He reveals that he still often goes to the studio and records new material.

"My friends and I, Jon [Bon Jovi] and everyone, we are still making music. I mean, we are still the best ever," he said.
In closing, Tico Torres asked fans not to believe any news circulating on social media.
"All I can say is don't listen to what you're reading. Most likely it's nonsense," he said with a laugh.
The man whose full name is Hector Samuel Juan "Tico" Torres had joined a psychedelic rock band called Six Feet Under. He joined Bon Jovi in 1983 from Jon the vocalist's invitation. At that time, he was interested in joining because he saw Jon's strong charisma, even though at that time the vocalist was 9 years younger than him.
