Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Is Predicted To Come With A More Rounding Angle

JAKARTA - Samsung appears to be preparing for a pretty flashy design change for its newest flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Based on the latest leaks, this upcoming model is rumored to be leaving a sharp box design that has become a hallmark of the Ultra series since 2022, carrying a much more rounded angle than the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

- Tipster Phoneart (@UniverseIce) revealed on August 24 that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will have a much rounder angle than its predecessor. The Ultra series first adopted a box angular style with the Galaxy S22 Ultra which also introduced an integrated S Pen slot. The design continues to S23 and S24 Ultra, while the latest S25 Ultra softens its sides a little.

If this leak is true, the S26 Ultra will take further steps with a rounding design, which makes the phone more comfortable to hold and doesn't easily make it uncomfortable to put it in your pocket. This change will also bring Samsung closer to rivals like Google Pixel 10 Pro and Apple iPhone 17 Pro.

The Galaxy S26 series is expected to be launched in January 2026, with Ultra coming with the Rebranded Galaxy S26 Pro model and Galaxy S26 Edge. Preliminary reports state Ultra retains 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen and S Pen support, with slightly thinner and lighter body.

In the kitchen runway, the S26 Ultra is almost certain to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset and a 200MP main camera with a fast aperture f/1.4.

Last month, we saw the first leak in the form of a CAD S26 Ultra render showing the design of a camera island like the Galaxy Z Fold7, although the angle didn't look much different at the time.

However, this latest report is only one of the many leaks that will appear ahead of launch. Look forward to renderings and more detailed information as developments progress and the launch time approaches.
