Pramono Gives Discount On Hotel And Restaurant Taxes In Jakarta 20-50 Percent
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung decided to give a tax discount on certain goods and services (PBJT) specifically for the hotel sector of up to 50 percent. Then, the PBJT discount on food and beverages for restaurants in Jakarta is 20 percent.
This is stated in the Decree of the Governor (Kepgub) of DKI Jakarta Number 722 of 2025. Pramono revealed that this 50 percent discount will only apply for the next month.
"For example, if the payment is 10, then half of what is paid to the DKI Jakarta Provincial tax until September. So, for one month we have given 50 percent relief," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, August 25.
Then, from September to December 2025, hotel taxes are still given a discount of 20 percent. Meanwhile, the reduction in food and beverage taxes by 20 percent is valid from this month until December 2025.
"Taxpayers are required to submit a statement that they are willing to report their transaction data electronically using the e-TRAPT system that we have been using," said Pramono.

Pramono did not rule out the possibility that this tax discount would be re-imposed until January 31, 2026. However, he will determine a further decision regarding the extension of the time for providing this incentive in a different (kepgub).
On that occasion, Pramono explained that the imposition of hotel and food and beverage tax discounts was carried out to maintain the continuity of taxpayer businesses in the hotel, restaurant sector, to support economic growth in Jakarta.
"As we all know, economic growth in Jakarta is growing above the national average. This includes the provision of jobs and also to maintain fiscal incentives for business actors so that they can survive in Jakarta," he explained.
