In Front Of 16,000 Undip Maba, The Minister Of Agriculture Calls Modern Agriculture Beneficial
JAKARTA Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Andi Amran Sulaiman emphasized the importance of Indonesia's agricultural transformation which is now moving towards a modern technology-based system.
According to him, modern agriculture is the key to attracting the interest of the younger generation to enter the food sector. He conveyed this to 16,000 new students of Diponegoro University (Undip) in the Youth Diponegoro Orientation activities in Semarang, Saturday, August 23.
"Youth will not enter agriculture if it is not profitable and does not use technology. Therefore, we built modern agricultural clusters in various regions. Alhamdulillah, there are already 27,000 millennial farmers who are also engaged in this sector," Amran explained in his statement.
Amran also invites the younger generation to focus on their goals, not easily affected by the negative environment, and dare to face pressure to achieve success.
"What's successful is that people are consistent and able to withstand pressure. Diamonds alone are born from a temperature pressure of 3,500 degrees Celsius. You have to focus on dreams, don't be influenced by other people's words. Indonesia needs tough young people to bring this nation to be equal to a super power country," he said.
Amran emphasized the important role of students as agents of change of the nation. He said Undip had given birth to a superior generation who was expected to be able to fill independence with real works, including in the agricultural sector.
"We hold the Republic of Indonesia in the hands of Undip. You are the nation's hope to make big changes. Let's make Indonesia a world food barn under President Prabowo's leadership," he said.
Meanwhile, Undip Chancellor Suharnomo expressed his appreciation for the presence of the Minister of Agriculture Amran who was considered to have provided inspiration to thousands of new students.
"I don't think many public officials have extraordinary vision, have integrity, and are not omons. For us lecturers and students, we get enlightenment and vision about how behave is for this nation. Apparently he has integrity for agriculture and partiality to the people. I think it's very amazing," said Suharnomo.

Really very nutritious intake and all meat," he concluded.
