US Negotiates Sales Of 500 Boeing Planes To China
JAKARTA - US aerospace giant Boeing is involved in negotiations to sign a sales deal of up to 500 planes to China.
Bloomberg in its report said the negotiations were to determine the model of the aircraft to be purchased by the Chinese side, along with the number and schedule of its shipments.
However, this deal will depend on easing US-China trade tensions that have been going on since Donald Trump's first presidency (2017-2021), and there is still a possibility of failure.
Chinese officials are still discussing the issue of the need for Boeing aircraft with a number of airlines.

Reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Friday, August 22, Bloomberg also said that the agreement explored with Boeing was similar to China's order for 500 aircraft made by Airbus which was still delayed.
This negotiation report was revealed amid a US decision to extend the "catch ceasefire" with China over the next three months since 12 August.
The Boeing aircraft order is seen as a key element of a trade deal that could benefit US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping after long-consuming negotiations and sometimes sparks debate.
The large-scale booking agreement for Boeing planes from China was last announced during Trump's visit to China in November 2017. At that time, Boeing agreed to sell 300 of its planes with a value of 37 billion US dollars to China.
