Amanda Rawles Alami Mental Breakdown When Playing The Movie 'Who Is He'

JAKARTA - Amanda Rawles admitted that she had experienced bad conditions when choosing the film 'Who is He' as the next project. In this film, he plays Rintik who is an assistant director from Screen (Nicholas Saputra).

"I feel very relieved to continue to be excited. I want to watch it because I haven't felt the process, which seems like this film will be good," Amanda Rawles said at a press conference in Central Jakarta on Thursday, August 21.

In addition, he also admitted that he was surprised because he did not expect to get an offer for this film with a musical background. Amanda explained that she did not have the ability to sing or dance.

"Honestly, when I was offered, I was a bit surprised because I didn't have a basic singing or dancing. Indeed, I had said I wanted a different project but I didn't expect it. I had a mental break too," he said.

Fortunately, he was assisted by many senior crew and actors who had the ability to explore his character.

"I'm happy because Mas Garin (Nugroho) is preparing a long time with the coach, acting coach. The funny thing is that when it breaks down not only me but we all show vulnerableity and both cry and grow and process," explained Amanda Rawles.

Garin Nugroho as the director stated that this film is a tribute to the history of popular films and culture in Indonesia.

"This film is trying to make things happen because it is important, not only as a spectacle but understands that popular culture brings narratives of life from period to period," said Garin Nugroho.

The film Siapa Dia tells the story of Layar (Nicholas Saputra), a director who looks for inspiration for the next film by dismantling his great-held suitcase that has led to the history of cinema in the past.

Film Siapa Dia akan tayang di bioskop Indonesia mulai 28 Agustus 2025.
