WhatsApp Tests Voice Record Feature When Calls Are Not Answered
JAKARTA WhatsApp launched a new feature in beta 2.25.23.21 for Android users. This feature is designed to manage entrance calls that can't be read.
Found for the first time by WABetaInfo, this feature can simulate voice messages. When the call is not answered, the user can immediately leave a voice message for the recipient.
For example, if a user calls a busy colleague, he can immediately record a short voice message to explain his needs. This feature can keep interaction practical.
In the update, a special menu will appear at the bottom of the call interface. The menu is displayed to invite users to record and send voice messages quickly.

The same shortcut will also be seen directly in the chat where unanswered calls occur. This serves as a reminder to respond immediately, even if users can always record regular voice messages.
Once recorded, voice messages will be sent directly into the conversation. Unanswered call notifications will still be sent to ensure the recipient is aware of missed calls and messages left behind.
It is not yet known whether this feature will be available to iOS users. However, WhatsApp will roll out this feature to more users in the coming weeks.
