Pramono Will Build Fatmawati Statue At Pusaka Flag Park
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said the plan to build a statue of President Soekarno's wife, Fatmawati. The statue will be placed in the Heritage Flag Park which is now under construction.
The reason for placing the Fatmawati statue in the Pusaka Flag Park was because the mother of the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Megawati Soekarnoputri, was a figure who sewed the Red and White Heritage Flag.
"So the name of the park is the Heritage Flag, and the Heritage Flag is synonymous with Mrs. Fatmawati. When she made the flag that sewed Mrs. Fatmawati," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Thursday, August 21.
Pramono emphasized that the construction of the park that unites the Langsat Park, Ayodya Park, and Leuser Park was not financed from the APBD, but from the building floor coefficient (KLB). Likewise with the construction of Fatmawati statue.
"There are people who are kind to want to donate or give (a statue) to the Pusaka Flag Park and I already agree with that. So it is not built on the APBD or this is from DKI funds," Pramono explained.
