'Jokowi' Gibran's 'Jokowi' Intercepted By Solo Emaks: We're Hard To Know Sir, Our Objections
SOLO - Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka was intercepted by emaks during a visit to Sekip Residents, RT01/RW 03, Banjarsari, Solo, Monday, May 10, today.
Like the visit, Gibran was initially 'busy' handing out books to masks to the children he met. Not to forget, Gibran reminded citizens to be disciplined in wearing masks.
Arriving at a moment, the eldest son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was immediately intercepted by a mother. This mother questioned the division of school zoning that was very detrimental to her. Later this mother was known as Sri Lestari and had 3 children.
"The middle school near here does not exist yet, sir! The junior high school is too far, it's a long way away," Sri Lestari said in a Youtube video uploaded by Surakarta News, Monday, May 10, 2015.
Sri Lestari wants her son to enter SMP 23 which is close to home. But the hope was dashed because his son was instead placed into junior high school 25.
In fact, the requirement of the Solo City Government to include the name of children in all zoning categories has been done. Unfortunately, this effort was unsuccessful. The biggest impact is the cost of the child's round trip transportation.
"We object to the transportation Pak kan very far, the transportation is very expensive is not affordable for us. It's hard for us sir, I object,"
"Ride gojek round trip Rp56 thousand, if round trip how much, if a month what? Now SPP is free but transportation is expensive, yes it's the same. We need the education of our children to advance," said Sri.
Getting this complaint Gibran immediately responded. He promised to evaluate student placements in the zoning system.
"Nggih, later this year we evaluate again. Enggih, enggeh, yes Ma'am," Gibran replied with a nod of his head.
