If Liverpool Become A Boy Isak And Guehi, They Will Break The World Transfer Record

JAKARTA - Liverpool are ready to spend a large of 130 million pounds (around Rp. 2.8 trillion) to bring in Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.

The Sun said the Reds would offer the proposal next week and they believed the Magpies wanted to release the striker.

Apart from Isak, Liverpool also continues to hunt down centre-back Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace. They have even prepared 35 million pounds (around Rp768 billion) for the England National Team player.

The arrival of the two will make Arne Slot Manager's summer expenses reach 466 million pounds (approximately Rp. 10.2 trillion), including transfers of Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Hugo Ekitike, Giovanni Leoni, Will Wright, and Armen Pecsi.

Liverpool have already been rejected an offer of 110 million pounds for Isak, but they will only submit an official approach with a proposal of 130 million after the match on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, early morning WIB, against Newcastle.

Di tengah upaya negosiasi itu, suasana di St James' Park sudah cukup panas dan The Reds tidak ingin memperburuk situasi.

Isak is being marginalized by Eddie Howe's manager. He was not played when Newcastle played a goalless draw at Aston Villa on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

During the match against Aston Villa, supporters thought Isak refused to play and shouted the words "There is only one greedy guy".

This is an expression of their feelings for the striker who has worked hard, refused to play, and will be fined for missing the match against Villa.

The respect of supporters for Isak - who has scored 62 goals in three seasons since being signed from Real Sociedad at 63 million pounds - has turned into hatred.

Isak will not only be set aside by Howe, but with his current condition, he will not even attend the match against Liverpool.

Howe insists after the match against Villa that he wants the dispute with Isak to be resolved while he continues to chase Yoane Wissa from Brentford.

This means that discussions between Newcastle and Liverpool will be open if Howe can get a replacement for Isak first.

"We want a resolution. I'm talking about myself, I'm sure about the owner and the players."

"We need that clarity. You don't need any extraction. However, I can't control that. I think only one (Isak) person can really control that," Howe said.

Long discussions with Isak representatives have ensured that a personal agreement will not be a problem.

However, Newcastle are still reluctant to negotiate with Liverpool because they want to sign a substitute first after losing their race against Manchester United to get Benjamin Sesko. Ironically, Liverpool also got Ekitike who was the target of the Magpies.

Brentford has now raised the Wisma valuation from 40 million pounds to 60 million, but the Congo's RD striker who was also crossed out on weekends is looking for ways to move after removing all ties to Brentford from his personal Instagram account.

However, Wissa's wish will almost certainly materialize and the agreement can even be reached before the weekend.

Then shifting about Guehi, the ongoing negotiations are believed to be going well because Crystal Palace Chairman Steve Parish and Liverpool Sports Director Michael Edwards have good relations.

Hunting for Guehi is not without reason. Anxiety is increasing at Anfield over the attitude of centre-back Ibrahima Konate who refuses a new contract with the remainder of the one-season contract.

He wants to join his former teammate, Trent Alexander-Arnold, at Real Madrid. Liverpool will consider selling him in the transfer market this summer or in January 2026 rather than letting him go free next summer.

Guehi, who is 25 years old like Konate, is seen as the ideal solution.

Meanwhile, Liverpool manager Arne Slot told club officials long before the end of last season that he saw Isak as at the core of a massive spending master plan to restructure the squad.

This did not change despite the arrival of striker Hugo Ekitike for 69 million pounds from Eintracht Frankfurt. He scored in Community Shield and won in the Premier League opener against Bournemouth.

With revenue from player sales estimated at more than 230 million pounds at the end of the transfer market, a decision has now been made to try to end Isak's transfer saga by adding 20 million from his previous bid.

A total price that may reach 130 million will also allow Newcastle to double their money for the 25-year-old and save face to the sales they already admit are inevitable.

Harvey Elliott, West Ham's 40 million target, could go into the calculation of the player swap deal, depending on the choice the attacking midfielder makes.

If all these plans are realized, Isak's recruitment will set a world record for expenses in all transfer markets by any club. The current record is held by Chelsea, which poured 391 million pounds in 2023.
