Denies Infrastructure Development Is Not A Priority 2026, Minister Of Public Works: It's Just Not Full In Us
JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo denied that infrastructure is not a priority in government policy next year.
According to Dody, the Ministry of Public Works does not 'all In' spend a budget for infrastructure development in 2026.
However, said Dody, the ministry he leads will support development which is a priority for President Prabowo Subianto's government.
In the 2026 RAPBN, the government sets eight priority agendas, namely food security; energy security; free nutritious food (MBG); education; health; Red and White Village Cooperative-MSMEs; universal defense and investment acceleration; as well as trade and housing.
"It's impossible (not a priority). But, right, it's still in other places. Say at the Ministry of Social Affairs I have a People's School, say BGN I have a SPPG like that. Yes, it's just not full with us. I, right, keep going (such as) irrigation. Like irrigation, right, also the Ministry of Agriculture," said Dody at the PU Ministry office, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 19.
With the eight priority agendas, Dody said, his party is committed to continuing to provide support.
"Only (infrastructure development) is not round in the PU. We support others, they are only supportive. Because the infrastructure, right, the area cannot be cut in half," he said.

Sementara terkait pembangunan Sekolah Rakyat (SR) pada RAPBN 2026, alokasi anggaran untuk hal tersebut masuk ke dalam anggaran pendidikan senilai Rp24,9 triliun.
Dengan alokasi tersebut, lanjut Dody, pembangunan Sekolah Rakyat Tahap II juga akan langsung dikejar.
"Kami mulai September tahap kedua. Bukan per bulan (targetnya), target kami itu 2026 Juni selesai semua," pungkasnya.

Meanwhile, regarding the construction of the People's School (SR) in the 2026 RAPBN, the budget allocation for this is included in the education budget of Rp. 24.9 trillion.
With this allocation, continued Dody, the construction of the Phase II People's School will also be immediately pursued.
"We are starting in the second phase of September. Not per month (the target), our target is that all of June 2026 will be completed," he concluded.
