Strengthen National Values, Ministry Of Culture And Ministry Of Religion Establish Agreements Through Cultural MoU
JAKARTA Minister of Culture Fadli Zon signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar at the HM Auditorium. Rasjidi, Ministry of Religion, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 19. This agreement marks the strategic cooperation between the two ministries in strengthening national values through cultural and religious integration.
The MoU includes program synchronization, capacity building of human resources, as well as data and mutual information utilization. Menbud Fadli Zon emphasized that this collaboration is an important foundation to maintain cultural heritage while strengthening community spirituality.

Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar assessed that religious and cultural relations cannot be separated. Religion without culture is dry, culture without religion can lose value," he said. He gave an example of marriage in Indonesia which is not just a legal event, but a space for cultural and religious acculturation that strengthens social cohesion.
According to Nasaruddin, the opening of cross-ethnic and cultural marriages actually strengthens national solidarity. "The ethnic top is getting more and more fluid. That's a new force for the integration of the nation," he said.
A number of officials attended this event, including Human Rights Minister Natalius Pigai, Deputy Minister of Religion Father HR Muhammad Syafii, and Deputy Minister of Forestry Sulaiman Umar. From the Ministry of Culture, there was the Director General of Diplomacy, Promotion, and Culture Cooperation Endah Tjahjani Dwirini Retno Astuti, as well as the Director of Cultural Cooperation Mardisontori.
