Netanyahu Visits Israel's Illegal Settlements In Palestinian Land As Real Evidence Of Violating International Legitimation

JAKARTA - The World Muslim League (MWL) condemned the visit of Israeli Prime Minister (PM) Benjamin Netanyahu to illegal Israeli settlements on Palestinian soil. MWL assessed that the visit was clear evidence that Israeli officials allowed and deliberately violated international legitimacy.

Quoting AN, Tuesday, August 19, Secretary General of MWL Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa said Netanyahu visited real settlements occupied by Israelis illegally as evidence that the Israeli government continues to implement provocation policies and does not comply with international legitimacy.

He again continued the Arab League's call for the international community to "immediately save the Palestinian people" and stop the conflict by implementing a two-state solution.

Al-Issa said the Arab League supports recent high-level international conference final documents on the peaceful resolution of problems in Palestine, chaired jointly by Saudi Arabia and France.

He warned that continued abuses by what he called the extremist government of Israel pose a serious threat to regional and global stability and remain the biggest obstacle to achieving lasting peace.

Previously, Netanyahu visited the settlement of Ofra in the West Bank in commemoration of his 50th anniversary on August 17, 2025. The settlement of Ofra is a Palestinian area that is forcibly occupied by Israelis on its military demotion.

During his visit, Netanyahu promised to prevent the creation of a Palestinian state.

"To ensure the continuation of our power in the Land of Israel, to prevent the formation of a Palestinian state ... Thank God, what I promised we will fulfill," Netanyahu was quoted as saying by the Times of Israel.
