Prabowo's Idea To Disburse IDR 335 Trillion For MBG, Ahmad Muzani Says This

JAKARTA - Chairman of the MPR RI Ahmad Muzani responded to the budget allocation for the Free Nutrition Food program (MBG) of IDR 335 trillion initiated by President Prabowo Subianto. This value is twice as large as last year's IDR 171 trillion.

The MBG budget was highlighted because the amount was almost half of the education funds, while the implementation was considered to still face various obstacles in the field.

According to Muzani, the large budget is expected to be able to ensure the benefits of the program really reaching all students in various regions.

"Indeed, what the President hopes for and our hope is that in the use of the budget next year, in 2026, the value of the benefits felt from eating the free nutrition is more, more students can enjoy it according to plan so that it requires a large budget," said Muzani at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 19.

He also hopes that the implementing agency, namely the National Nutrition Agency, can work more optimally so that the program runs without obstacles.

"Because the value of benefits expected by the President and by all of us can be even more and can be maximized," said the former Secretary General of the Gerindra Party.

"So that the benefits of eating nutritious free can be felt by tens of millions of students, so that the budget will increase," concluded Muzani.
