RI's 80th Anniversary In Bucharest: Ambassador Meidyatama Invites Indonesian Citizens To Become National Ambassadors To The Semarak Of People's Party

The Ambassador of Meidyatama Suryodiningrat invited Indonesian citizens (WNI) to continue to be the nation's ambassador, on the sidelines of celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia in Bucharest, Romania on Sunday.

The celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia at the Indonesian Embassy in Bucharest began with a ceremony attended by around 250 Indonesian citizens. Acting as Inspector of the Indonesian Ambassador Ceremony for Romania and Moldova Meidyatama Suryodiningrat, with the raising of the flag being carried out by the Indonesian Embassy Paskibra Team, Bucharest.

"Those who maintain the good name of Indonesia, the professionals and diplomats who are on duty, the students who gain knowledge to build the nation, to the workers who make a living for their families in the country, all deserve to be called heroes. As ordered by national figure Haji Agus Salim, in the most important struggle is to dare to live, not dare to die," said Ambassador Meidyatama in a statement from the Indonesian Embassy in Bucharet as quoted Monday, August 18.

After the ceremony, all Indonesian citizens joined the People's Party which began with cutting cones and eating lunch together. Various typical Nusantara dishes such as grilled chicken, balayo eggs, chili sauce, crackers, risoles, to banana ball presents the feel of the hometown in the middle of Bucharest City.

The excitement is increasingly felt with various competitions, including national traditional fashion competitions, Kahoot Kemerdekaan quizzes, cracker food competitions, sarong relays, moving water with faces covered with cone caps, Air Consecution game games, to the race running in balloons.

Safitri Kirana (24), a student of the coala Naional dress de Studi Politice i Administrative, admitted that she was touched by the atmosphere of the celebration.

"The derivation of the embassy building, the series of ceremonies, to the lively people's parties, made us feel like returning to Indonesia. The sense of kinship was really felt, as well as treating the longing for the homeland," he said.

The same thing was conveyed by Farhan Mazario (25), a student at the Master's Office of Bucharest, who attended the celebration of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day in Romania for the first time.

"The event was lively, the food was good, and the competition was fun. I even won in the Airconcerning game," said Farhan with a laugh.

Not only held at the embassy, but the Indonesian Embassy in Bucharest also held an online competition in the form of guessing quizs for figures and video competitions. This competition is intended for Indonesian citizens living outside the city of Bucharest and unable to attend directly at the embassy.

The momentum of celebrating the 80th Indonesian Independence Day in Bucharest is a forum for the togetherness of all Indonesian people in Romania to celebrate independence with great enthusiasm and joy.
