Natural Nutrition For Healthy And Light Skin
JAKARTA - Healthy and glowing skin is not only the result of the use of foreign care products, but is also influenced by what we consume daily. Proper diets play an important role in providing nutrients from within, maintaining moisture, and protecting the skin from damage.
Reporting from the Hindustan Times, dr. Ruben Bhasin Passi, a dermatologist from CK Birla Hospital, Gurugram, explained that nutritious food has a big influence in improving skin quality.
He emphasized that the content of omega-3 fatty acids from fatty fish such as salmon, makarel, and sardines is very good for maintaining the softness of the skin while reducing inflammation.
"Omega-3 helps maintain the layer of skin lipid so that the skin is not dry easily or irritated," he explained.
Not only fish, foods containing vitamins E and C such as avocados also play an important role. Alpukat not only maintains skin moisture, but also supports collagen production which keeps the skin strong. Likewise, berries rich in antioxidants are able to fight free radicals, improve skin color, and protect them from bad effects of sunlight.

Nuts such as almonds, walnuts, chia seeds, and hemp seeds are also included in the list of foods that are good for skin health. The vitamin E, zinc, and healthy fat content in it helps protect the skin from UV exposure and accelerates healing of small wounds in the skin.
Meanwhile, beta carotene-rich sweet potatoes, which are converted into vitamin A, function to encourage the regeneration of new cells while giving the skin a natural rona.
Green leafy vegetables are no less important because they are rich in vitamins A, C, and K. These nutrients are useful for cleaning the skin, improving elasticity, and reducing acne problems. The chlorophyllic content also helps relieve redness. In addition, licopen-rich tomatoes effectively protect the skin from damage caused by sunlight. According to Passi, cooking tomatoes with a little olive oil can increase lycopene absorption in the body.
For additional intake, green tea can be an option. This drink is rich in polyphenols that can reduce inflammation, slow aging, and prevent acne. Not only that, green tea also contributes to keeping the skin moist.
With a balanced and nutritional-rich diet, skin health can be maintained naturally without having to rely fully on foreign care products.
