Alluding To Teacher Welfare, Commission VIII Of The House Of Representatives Encourages Paud Quran To Get BOS Funds
JAKARTA - Member of Commission VIII DPR RI Maman Imanulhaq encourages the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) to strengthen the position of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) of the Qur'an or PaudQu in the national education system. According to him, so far PaudQu's position has not received adequate attention and tends to be marginalized in education governance.
Maman also encouraged the establishment of the Diniyyah Education Directorate under the Director General of Islamic Boarding Schools so that PaudQu's guidance was more focused and sustainable, including for the welfare of its teachers.
"PaudQu teachers are the foundation for the formation of character and morals of the younger generation. The state must ensure that they have a clear legal umbrella and get proper welfare," said Maman, Saturday, August 16.
Maman is committed to continuing to encourage synergy with the Ministry of Religion and IPPAQI in strengthening regulations. In addition, said Maman, to improve the welfare of teachers, and ensure PaudQu's budget allocation is more proportional in the upcoming APBN.
"PaudQu should not be left out by the lack of attention from the state," said the legislator from the West Java IX electoral district.
"With clear regulations, regular BOS, and maintained teacher welfare, this institution can strengthen generations of Qur'an morals," concluded Maman.
As is known, PAUD Al-Qur'an (PaudQu) is a formal educational institution under the auspices of the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) which was founded in 2020. This institution introduces and educates Paud's children to the Koran.

The purpose of establishing PaudQU is to introduce children to read, write, tahfidz, and practice Al Quran verses in everyday life. In PaudQu, it is also taught, including the practice of worship, daily prayer, and Islamic history.
Initially this institution was the Al Quran Kindergarten (TKQ) which was changed to PaudQu. Therefore, currently PaudQu is equivalent to Raudatul Athfal (RA) and Kindergarten (TK), and has officially met the requirements to participate in the accreditation process which aims to ensure the quality and service of education in PaudQu.
Regarding this development, Maman highlighted the limited budget allocation of PaudQu in the Ministry of Religion's education budget in 2025 which reached IDR 25 trillion. He also supports efforts so that PaudQu can obtain regular School Operational Assistance (BOS), replacing the incidental mechanism that has been implemented so far.
