Ederson Is Included In The List Of Three Players Targeted By Galatasaray

JAKARTA - Ederson is on the list of three players Malatasaray is targeting in line with their efforts to recruit goalkeepers before the transfer deadline.

The Turkish giants are also interested in Yann Sommer from Inter Milan and Diogo Costa from FC Porto because they want to strengthen the squad ahead of their return to the Champions League.

Galatasaray has prioritized the recruitment of goalkeepers and defenders in the rest of the transfer market.

The transfer window in Turkey is open until September 11, 2025, but eligible players to play in the Champions League must be registered no later than September 2, 2025. While the draw for the league phase will take place on August 28, 2025.

The problem is, Manchester City still wants to keep Ederson this summer despite signing back 22-year-old James Trafford from Burnley for 27 million.

Despite The Citizens' stance, Galatasaray has been given the hope that an agreement for Ederson may occur.

According to ESPN reports, Manchester City appreciates the 31-year-old, who still has a one-year contract remaining, between 13 million and 15 million.

There has been no official contact between the two clubs, but meetings have been held through intermediaries since early August 2025.

If Ederson leaves, Manchester City can turn their attention to Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The Italian player is no longer needed at Paris Saint-Germain and is eyeing a move to the Premier League.

Manchester City has asked for financial details from the deal for the 26-year-old if they need to replace Ederson.

Donnarumma reportedly charges a salary of around 250,000 pounds per week. PSG charges between 25 million pounds and 35 million pounds even though the charges could drop near the transfer deadline.

Donnarumma, who has been replaced by PSG by Lucas Chevalier, is also in demand by the Saudi Arabian Pro League, but he prefers to stay in Europe.
