Prabowo Claims To Save IDR 300 Trillion In The Budget Of The Corruption Prone State Budget

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto claims that his government has succeeded in securing Rp300 trillion in the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) which is prone to corruption.

"At the beginning of 2025, we have identified and saved Rp. 300 trillion in money from the APBN which we see is prone to being misappropriated," he said at the MPR RI Annual Session and the 2025 DPR-DPD RI Joint Session, at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday, August 15.

Prabowo said the figure came from the overseas and domestic official travel budget, which was so large that the budget for office stationery and various budgets that had been a source of corruption.

Furthermore, Prabowo said that the APBN budget that was saved in the context of this efficiency was used for more productive things and could be directly felt by the community.

"This efficiency is ruled by our Constitution, which is paragraph 4 article 33. We have shifted it to more productive and directly felt by the people," he explained.

Prabowo also said that he was sworn in to carry out orders from the 1945 Constitution. Therefore, he is committed to leading efforts to eradicate corruption and fraud in all executive and government institutions.

"As president of the Indonesian republic, I am responsible for the executive government, I am obliged to enforce the law for the safety of the nation," he said.
