Muzani: Serious Government Forms Economic Equity Through MBG To People's Schools
JAKARTA - MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani assessed that in the first year President Prabowo Subianto's leadership had shown a strong determination to realize the big vision of making Indonesia a country that was not only able to survive, but also competitive and sovereign on the world stage.
According to him, the direction of national development is now again focused on strategic pillars such as food independence, energy security, national defense, and technological excellence.
He added that programs such as downstreaming industry, building border areas, digitizing public services, and strengthening MSMEs are important motorbikes to create an economy that is inclusive, resilient, and adaptive to global uncertainty.
"We should be grateful for the achievements of the Government which deserves to be recorded and the benefits begin to be felt," he said in his speech at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, August 15.
He also highlighted one of President Prabowo Subianto's programs, namely Free Nutrition Food (MBG), which is not just a food aid program, but is a big investment for the nation's future.
"We know that malnutrition and stunting are serious challenges," he said.
Through this program, said Muzani, the government ensures that every Indonesian child has access to nutritious food, so that they can grow healthy, strong, and intelligent.
In addition, he added, this program also encourages local economies through the involvement of farmers, breeders, and MSMEs, as well as become instruments for equitable economics at the grassroots level.
Muzani also highlighted the Red and White Cooperative, which is a tool for the people's economic struggle to strengthen village independence and build a modern economic ecosystem and side with the small people.
Meanwhile, he assessed that the People's School is also a strategic answer to the inequality of access to education.
"This school is especially present for children from underprivileged families who have had difficulty accessing quality education. People's schools are a solution that opens up opportunities for every nation's children to achieve a better future," he added.
In addition, he added, the free health check program is also a form of the government's commitment to ensuring that people's rights have the right to a healthy body.
