Realme Neo 8 Leaks Reveals 9500e Dimensity Chip Or Snapdragon 8 Gen 5
JAKARTA - In December 2024, Realme launched Realme Neo 7 which comes with a Dimensity 93,000 Plus chipset and a battery with a capacity of 7,000mAh. It is likely that its successor, Realme Neo 8, will be introduced in December this year. Thursday 14 August, a well-known leaker from China, the Digital Chat Station, shared leaked specifications allegedly belonging to Realme Neo 8 through its Weibo account.
According to the leak, Realme Neo 8 will be equipped with an LTPS OLED display panel with a 1.5K resolution as well as an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on the screen. In comparison, the previous model used LTPO screen technology and optical fingerprint sensors.
In terms of a kitchen runway, it is stated that this device is currently being tested with two new chipsets, namely Dimensity 9500e and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. The selection of the final chipset will be determined once the test is complete.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 with model number SM8845 is expected to debut alongside Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 in September. Other rumors say that Redmi K90 will also use Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Meanwhile, Dimensity 9500e is touted as an enhanced version of Dimensity 9400 Plus.
Leaks also revealed that Realme Neo 8 will carry a super large battery with a capacity of about 8,000mAh, a significant increase compared to the previous generation.
In addition to Neo 8, Realme is reportedly working on the Realme Neo 8 SE which will be powered by the latest Dimensity 8500 chipset. This device is expected to launch in January 2026.
