2 Members Of Brimob Nabire Died Attacked By KKB
JAYAPURA - Nabire Police Chief AKBP Samuel Tatiratu said two BRImob personnel from Battalion C Nabire were killed by the KKB suspected of being from the Aibon Kogoya group on Wednesday.
"On Wednesday, the perpetrators of the attack killed two members of Brimob Nabire who were tasked with securing the construction of a road in Kilometer 128 of Siriwo District," said Nabire Police Chief AKBP Samuel Setiratu as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 13.
In addition to killing two Brimob members, the KKB also took away two long-barreled Ak-47 firearms along with ammunition.
"From the reports received, the perpetrators initially attacked Brigpol Arif Maulana using sharp weapons, then shot Bripda Neles C. Runaki, causing the two victims to die," he said.

Currently, the bodies of the two members of the Central Papua Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) have been evacuated, and upon arrival in Nabire they will be immediately taken to the hospital for a post-mortem.
"In addition, five employees of PT.AMP Nabire who were working on the Nabire-Paniai road were temporarily evacuated to Nabire," said AKBP Samuel Setiratu.
Aibon Kogoya is the head of KKB Kodap VIII Intan Jaya.
