Good NTRL Creates A Special Song For Criticism Of Music Royalty Governance
JAKARTA - Bagus NTRL has a special way to express his disappointment with the management of music royalties in Indonesia, where the National Collective Management Institute (LMKN) and the Collective Management Institute (LMK) as institutions assigned to manage royalties are actually highlighted because their performance is considered not good.
Through his Instagram account, Bagus uploaded a video singing in his yard in Bali. However, in the spotlight, the NTRL vocalist and bassist sang lyrics criticizing royalty governance.
The lyrics of the song itself read, Royalti royalties of my royalties? Royalties of my royalties? Gini-gini aje. Gini-gini aje. Gini-gini aje. Gini-gini aje."
With a summary, the 54-year-old musician invited people to perform the song without the need to pay royalties.
Please perform this song at weddings, circumcisions, divorces, etc. without being subject to royalties. GRATIIISSSS!!," he said, citing the caption of the upload, Wednesday, August 13.
Previously, Bagus also commented when Ari Lasso criticized the performance of Wahana Musik Indonesia (WAMI) who sent the wrong royalties distribution report.
Bagus hopes that this case can be a lesson, as well as invite all parties to work together to find the best solution.

"Hopefully this moment will be a lesson for all parties to start a good royalty system and true distribution, as well as provide awareness to the wider community that we must respect copyrighted works for the sustainability of the music industry in a healthy Indonesia," wrote Bagus.
"For fellow songwriters, musicians, music lovers, and all parties involved. Let's discuss each other's best solution to this without any interest and ego, because we are a big family that should unite with each other, work together, work hand in hand and help like the teachings of our ancestors before. Don't be divided. If not now when will it be. For the future a better system for our children and Indonesia Raya," he said.
