Apple Restores C/AC Button On Calculator App On IOS 26

JAKARTA The changes to the Calculator application on iOS 18 caused a number of complaints. Apple also responded to various complaints that came in from users by releasing updates to the application.

Previously, Apple was known to remove the C/AC button on the Calculator app. This deletion sparked controversy so that Apple re-launched its buttons on iOS 26. This feature is already visible in the developer's beta testing version.

With the launch of this fix, the Calculator application now has a backspace button and a C/AC button. The backspace button is permanent and is located in the upper left corner of the button board.

This button can delete single digits at one time. Meanwhile, the C/AC button now replaces the +/- button. Unlike the backspace function, this button will delete all numbers that have been entered into the calculation.

This feature is very useful if you type incorrectly when doing a series of calculations. When no number is entered, for example when the calculator displays zero numbers, the button turns into an AC.

The AC button is useful for removing all ongoing calculations, returning the display to zero input conditions. Although the position replaces the +/- button, the button is not completely lost from the app.

Apple only moves its position to the bottom left, exchanging places with a calculator mode diversion button. The mode diversion function that allows users to switch between basic, scientific, and mathematical calculators is moved to a new bar.

To access the diversion mode, the user must tap the top right corner of the screen. This change aims to make the keypad layout cleaner and more intuitive.
