Minister Of Immipas: Jurist Tan's Passport Has Been Revoked Since August 4

JAKARTA - Minister of Immigration and Corrections (Imipas) Agus Andrianto said the passport belonging to Jurist Tan, a suspect in a corruption case related to the procurement of Chromebooks, had been revoked since August 4, 2025.

"Since August 4 it has been revoked according to the request of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office (AGO)," Agus said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 13.

Meanwhile, Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) AGO Anang Supriatna said the application for revocation of the passport was submitted at the end of July 2025.

"The investigative team at the Round Building (Jampidsus) has been requesting since the end of July 2025 for the revocation of the passport in question to the Ministry of Imipas," he said.

Currently, said Anang, Jurist Tan has been included in the AGO's wanted list (DPO) and investigators are also in the process of submitting a red notice of Interpol against the suspect.

It is known that the AGO has named four suspects in the alleged corruption case at the Ministry of Education and Culture in the education digitization program for the 2019-2022 period.

Former Director of Investigation at Jampidsus AGO Abdul Qohar revealed that the four suspects were JT (Jurist Tan) as Special Staff (Stafsus) of the Minister of Education and Culture in 2020-2024 and IBAM (Ibrahim Arief) as a former technology consultant at the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Furthermore, SW (Sri Wahyuningsih) as Director of Elementary School (SD) of the Directorate of Basic Education and Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2020 2020 2021 as well as the power of budget user within the Directorate of Elementary Schools in the 2020-2021 fiscal year.

Finally, MUL (Mulyatsyah) as Director of Junior High School (SMP) of the Directorate of Basic Education and Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2020 2021 as well as the power of budget users within the Directorate of Junior High School for the first fiscal year 20202021.

"In the implementation of the procurement, SW, MUL, JT, and IBAM have committed acts against the law of abusing their authority by making implementation instructions leading to certain products, namely Chrome OS for the procurement of ICT in the 2020-2020 fiscal year," said Qohar.

As a result of the actions of the suspects, the state is estimated to have suffered a loss of around Rp. 1.9 trillion.
