Directorate General Of Gakkum KESDM Ordered Illegal Mining In Cibinong
The Directorate General of Law Enforcement (Gakkum) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has taken action against illegal mining located in Cibinong, Bogor Regency.
Director General of Gakkum, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Rilke Jeffri Huwae, said that since his inauguration on June 25, his party had carried out its initial control. Rilke said the illegal mine found in Cibinong was a metal mineral mine.
"Cibinong, yes, there has been action. There is a metal mineral mine, we have also carried out several investigations," he said, quoted Wednesday, August 13.
He explained that the illegal miners mined bauxite with a size of mine which is quite large. Meanwhile, he also estimates that the potential loss to the state caused by illegal mining in Cibinong could reach billions of rupiah.
"When it comes to mining, it must be billions. It's just that our problem is not small, the important thing is that if it is indeed an impact for governance, we will do it," continued Rilke.

Although newly formed, Rilke ensured that the Directorate General of Law and Human Rights was active in controlling illegal mining.
Currently, he continued, the Directorate General of Gakkum is also preparing the ministry administration which is projected to be completed in September.
"Investigation there are a lot of nickel, coal, and that is done in parallel with the preparation of the administrative side of case handling. We hope that after August, September, everything will be optimal for law enforcement implementers to be ready," said Rilke.
