Abraham Samad Ready To Respond To Police Calls Regarding Jokowi's Fake Diplomas Case
JAKARTA - Former Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Abraham Samad confirmed that he would fulfill the summons for examination by the Metro Jaya Police regarding the case of a report on the alleged fake diploma of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Wednesday, August 13.
"God willing, I will come and I suspect this is an attempt to criminalize me and silence freedom of opinion and expression guaranteed by the constitution," he said when confirmed by ANTARA.
The chairman of the KPK for the 2011-2015 period Abraham Samad will attend the summons as a witness to the report on the alleged fake diploma of President Jokowi to the Polda Metro Jaya.
"We need to inform you that another reported witness, namely Abraham Samad, we also confirm that we have received a summons and will be questioned on Wednesday (13/8)," said Roy Suryo's attorney, Ahmad Khozinudin when met at Polda Metro Jaya, Monday last week.
Khozinudin also said Abraham Samad would be examined along with other witnesses, namely Rustam Efendi.
"Abraham Samad is confirmed to be examined and will attend. Wednesday means August 13 at the same time as Rustam Effendi," he said.
Polda Metro Jaya has raised the case of a report on the alleged fake diploma of President Jokowi from investigation to investigation.
